Coastal Cleanup in Sandy Point

Sandy Point Environmental Camp joins the world in Coastal Clean-up activities! In the spirit of Coastal Clean-up month, SPEC co-sponsored a trash pick-up and fun day with Friends of the Environment and The Ministry of Tourism. Thirty-nine kids from Sandy Point, along with adult volunteers, collected nearly 70 bags of trash from the shoreline along Sandy Point, Abaco. Afterwards, the group gathered at the local picnic site for hotdogs on the grill. We ended on a high tide and the children had a great time cooling off in the water.
